Shengjin
Location
Shengjin is located at the distance of 7 kilometers from historical city of Lezha which is situated in the north-western part of Albania, 50 kilometers far from Mother Theresa Airport and 55 kilometers from the border of Montenegro.
Nature and Climate
The city is famous for its beautiful pine forests, pure mountain air, exciting Adriatic beaches providing curative effect on humans due to certain amount of iodine.
History and Sightseeing
During the warfare with Pompeii, Julius Caesar located his forces near Shengjin. Then this settlement joined the Roman Empire and received the name of Lissus Illyrian city. Shengjin previously called San Giovanni di Medua, was mentioned for the first time in 1313.
